Oak Grove was built on the belief that an exceptional education shouldn't be reserved for families who can pay private-school prices. We intentionally keep tuition low, and every year, roughly 40% of our students receive need-based tuition assistance — families across a wide range of income levels.

“Isn't Montessori just for little kids?”
Not here. Oak Grove is one of the few AMI-accredited programs in D.C. that carries the Montessori method from preschool through 8th grade — one continuous, coherent approach to childhood.
“Do we have to be Christian to enroll?”
No. Oak Grove is rooted in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, a Christian spiritual formation practice — but 61% of our families identify with other faith traditions or no faith tradition at all. We welcome children into a relationship with the sacred, however they and their families understand it. All are welcome. All belong.
"Will my child be able to adjust to a traditional classroom after Montessori?"
Most Montessori graduates adapt quickly, entering high school knowing how to concentrate, ask real questions, and manage their own work. Our graduates go on to schools like Sidwell Friends, National Cathedral, and Edmund Burke, carrying our foundation with them.
